ABOUT FACULTY
The Biological faculty, being one of leading faculties of the Baku State University, has been functioning since 1934. The first dean of the faculty was prof. D.Shutov, a plant physiologist in the specialty. Training are conducted on full-time and correspondence cources, in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages. More than 900 bachelors and undergraduates are studying, their teaching and educational work is carried out by a faculty of 86 members. At faculty trained more than 900 bachelors and masters, the faculty from 86 members is engaged in their teaching and educational work. Among them 1 academician, 19 doctors of sciences, professors, 62 candidates of sciences, senior lecturers, the senior teachers and teachers. At faculty on five specialities bachelors and on 18 specialities masters was prepared. The faculty has 9 departments and 3 scientific research labs.

The Biochemistry and biotechnology chair actively participates in the international projects. The chair within the limits of the program of Temrus participates in the project of preparation of masters in the field of ecology
